Manteo High School Class of 2001

Manteo High · Class of 2001

Twenty-five years later, we're back.

Homecoming Weekend — October 2–4, 2026 — Manteo, North Carolina. Three days, one class, every salty story we never told the yearbook.

The Itinerary

The whole weekend, hour by hour.

Lots of information here, so buckle up. Times and prices are what we know today — anything still being finalized is marked.

Friday · Oct 2

Homecoming at MHS

Wear your black & gold!

TBD

Homecoming Parade

Time and route still to be confirmed. No float, but the more of us who show up, the more spirit we bring before the game.

5:00–6:30 p.m.

Casual BBQ Dinner

Baseball field side of the high school. Stick Burnin’ BBQ is supplying dinner — $15 per person, CASH ONLY — sandwich, chips and a drink. Family-friendly. Park around back near the baseball field, then move your car to the football side before the game and enter through the main entrance. Admission to the game is purchased separately — support the school!

7:00 p.m.

Homecoming Football Game

Manteo High School.

Saturday · Oct 3

Tacos, Live Music & the After-Party

The whole Brewing Station evening is 21+

6:00–10:00 p.m.

Taco Dinner & Live Music

The backyard of The Brewing Station — privately rented for our class plus spouses, partners, or a +1, so bring a friend if you'd like, but please leave the kids at home (Friday's BBQ is the family-friendly one). Menu is still being finalized; plan for roughly $30–$40 per person covering all-you-can-eat tacos, sides, desserts, nonalcoholic drinks, tax, gratuity and acoustic live music on the backyard stage. The outdoor bar is open — start your own tab for alcohol instead of paying an open-bar fee.

10:00 p.m.

The After-Party

The Brewing Station hired a '90s and early-2000s DJ for the stage. Dust off your dancing shoes. This part opens up to the public, so invite friends — it's still 21+ inside the venue, and that goes for the whole night.

Make your own plans

Many guests need to leave town early, so the family day at the park is off. If you want to keep the reunion going, grab a few classmates and go.

Twenty seconds, tops. Say yes or maybe and we'll email you the Saturday ticket payment link as soon as it's ready — we need a firm headcount two weeks out.

The Venue

Saturday night lands at Outer Banks Brewing Station.

We've rented the entire backyard for a private class dinner and after-party. Tacos, acoustic live music, and a '90s DJ on the stage from 5 to 10 p.m. It's 21+ all night — our class plus spouses, partners, or a +1, so leave the kids at home. Ticket payment link and parking details will come by email.

Volunteers Needed

Here's where Gabby needs your help.

Pick anything that sounds like you and send Gabby a message. Many hands, light work, better party.

Homecoming Parade

Does anyone know the time and the route?

Bleacher Seating

Someone to contact MHS about reserving a small section of the football bleachers for Friday night — if that's even possible in a stadium that size.

Decorating Committee

Joe Ausband with Identifyyourself is donating a banner (thank you, Joe!). We need a few creative people to decorate our space at The Brewing Station Saturday — black and gold balloons, streamers, garland, table confetti, whatever you dream up. Friday doesn't need decor; the school is our backdrop.

Photographer

Any photographers willing to capture the weekend pro bono, or know someone who might?

Photo Booth

Long shot — does anyone have a connection with a company that could set one up?

Name Tags

In a perfect world, everyone's senior yearbook photo next to their name. There's a check-in table at The Brewing Station and everyone gets a tag for the evening. Gabby can't find her yearbook!

Check-In Table

Would anyone's parents volunteer Saturday night? Tickets are prepaid — just checking names off the list and handing out name tags.

In Memory

Honoring the classmates who are no longer with us.

If you have photos of friends from our class who have passed away, please bring them Saturday — there will be a special table for their photos. We'll also have cards where we can share memories and thoughts about each person, which we'll give to their families. They can't be with us, but they're still in our hearts. If you'd like to honor someone from our class, send Gabby a message.

One Final Note

We are putting this reunion together with a $0 budget, and Gabby is doing everything possible to keep costs low so finances don't keep anyone away. If you'd like to come but don't think you have the funds, send her a private message — we'll figure something out. We want you there.
